monkey in his new home. Still so tiny, fragile, and innocent, this precious baby arrived barely hours after birth, with the umbilical cord still attached and signs of weakness showing in his every movement.
When we first laid eyes on him, our hearts melted. His soft little body, not even strong enough to lift his head, lay gently in a blanket prepared for him. His eyes were still adjusting to the world, and his breathing was shallow but steady. His skin was delicate, and his fur barely covered his tiny frame.
The baby had been separated from his mother under unknown circumstances. Whether the mother rejected him, had complications during labor, or he was found abandoned, we may never fully know. What we did know was that he needed care immediately—warmth, nourishment, and constant monitoring to have even the smallest chance at survival.
The umbilical cord was still attached, a clear sign of how new he was to this world. We carefully cleaned around it, making sure there was no infection, and gently supported his body so the cord wouldn’t cause discomfort. Every action had to be slow, precise, and filled with love.
In this video, you’ll witness the start of a new life—one filled with uncertainty, but also deep hope. We placed him in a warm area, wrapped softly in cloth, and began his first feeding with special formula designed for newborn primates. Though his sucking reflex was weak, he managed to drink small amounts, giving us a glimmer of hope that he was strong enough to fight.
As he rests, you’ll see how closely we monitor him—checking his temperature, keeping his body warm with a heating pad, and ensuring the cord area stays clean and dry. Every few minutes, we talk to him softly, letting him know he is safe now. This is not just care—it’s love in its purest form.
While he’s too weak to respond much in this video, we know that the first 24–48 hours are crucial. Many newborns in the wild don’t make it past their first day without the warmth and milk of their mother. But we’re doing everything possible to give this little angel a chance. Every small breath, every tiny twitch, is a victory.
We invite you to witness his journey from Day 1. His life has only just begun, and though it starts with weakness, it’s also surrounded by care, hope, and heart.
Please keep this baby monkey in your thoughts. He may be small and fragile today, but with your love and support, tomorrow could be his first step toward strength.
