In a sunny jungle filled with tall trees and sweet fruit, four monkeys played happily every day. There was baby Lily, full of curiosity; cheerful Leo, always ready to run; gentle Rainbow, who loved flowers; and kind Libby, who took care of them all.
One afternoon, while they played near the stream, Lily spotted a bright yellow butterfly fluttering by.
“I want to catch it!” Lily shouted and dashed into the trees.
“Wait, Lily!” called Leo. “Stay close!”
But Lily had already run too far. As she chased the butterfly, her tiny foot slipped on a wet rock. She fell down a small hill and landed in the soft grass below.
“Ow…” she whimpered, holding her leg. She wasn’t badly hurt, but she was scared—and all alone.
Back at the stream, Rainbow looked around. “Where’s Lily?”
“She went after the butterfly!” Leo cried.
Without a second thought, Leo, Rainbow, and Libby ran into the jungle, calling out, “Lily! Lily!”
Soon, they heard a soft cry. They followed the sound and found Lily sitting in the grass, her eyes full of tears.
“Oh no… poor baby Lily,” said Rainbow, rushing to her side.
Libby gently checked Lily’s leg. “It’s just a little bruise,” she said kindly. “You’ll be okay.”
Lily sniffled. “I got scared.”
“But we’re here now,” Leo said. “We’ll always come for you.”
As they helped her up, the sun peeked through the trees and a rainbow stretched across the sky.
Lily smiled. “I love you all.”
“And we love you,” said Libby.
